Nous avons dbut notre sjour au Portugal au Farmhouse of the palms, un endroit absolument magnifique ! Il sagit dune ancienne ferme entirement rnove avec normment de got, les chambres sont belles, spacieuses et trs confortables. Les petits djeuners sont au top Et pour terminer, Vronique et Frank ont t de merveilleux htes, disponibles, discrets, prvenants et de trs bons conseils pour dcouvrir la rgion. Nous recommandons vivement cet endroit

Vanaf de eerste stap op het landgoed.. ben je ontspannen. Het 2e gevoel wat binnen stroomt is verlatingsangst. Hier wil je nooit meer weg. + steriel schone kamers, geen vieze kitnaden. Regendouche waar je nooit meer onderuit wil. En een matras waar je naar verlangt. Met zorg ingericht, met als doel rust en luxe. Uitzicht is onbeschrijfelijk, dus daar begin ik dan ook niet aan. + zwembad, wauw. Dit was de overtreffende trap. Dan heb ik het niet alleen over de looks ervan. Maar over dat zelfs de temperatuur van het water perfect is. Ik ben er normaal nooit langer dan 2 minuten in, maar dat is niet van toepassing in dit zwembad. Uren heb ik gebadderd. Zelfs die randen zijn spotless clean. + breakfast, elke ochtend geserveerd onder de prachtige boom met opkomende zon. Ontbijt wordt aan tafel gepresenteerd zodat je van alle gemakken wordt voorzien. En +++ elke ochtend wat anders. Verse jus, smoothies, fruit, vlees, pancakes.. bijna alleen maar plaatselijke producten. Gewoonweg weer een 10+ interieur, je proeft, voelt en ziet dat het interieur van de farmhouse niet op een maandag ochtend in elkaar is geflanst. Hier zit ontzettend veel liefde en tijd in. Je ziet dat hier verschillende koppen overheen hebben gebogen en het resultaat mag er wezen.+ hangmatten everywhere. Op je eigen priv plekje (die iedereen heeft aan hun slaapkamer), in de gezamenlijke ruimtes. Moet ik nog meer zeggen. + Omgeving, het ligt heerlijk centraal. En ze hebben natuurlijk zelf stencils gemaakt met informatie wat je elke dag zou kunnen doen. Ook dit is weer met liefde in elkaar gezet. + gastvrijheid, het woord gastheerschap was voor mij iets wat ik de afgelopen jaren kwijt was bij hotels en andere plekken waar je kon overnachten. Je wordt op meerdere plekken wel goed en netjes behandeld alleen de echte gastheren en gastvrouwen die je van alle gemakken willen voorzien en er echt hun beroep van hebben gemaakt om jou vakantie onvergetelijk te maken.. die gastheer/vrouw was ik al een tijdje uit het oog verloren. Maar mensen wees gerust, ik heb ze gevonden. Ze zitten je namelijk op te wachten bij Farmhouse of the Palms op het moment dat je 3 uur te vroeg aan komt rijden via hun prachtig onderhouden oprijlaan. 10+
The Farmhouse of the Palms was really a terrific place. We already visited many B&B's through the years but this place was perfect and our best B&B ever. First about the accommodation; it is so beautiful and gives you the ultimate holiday mood.We got a really nice tour in the whole B&B. The information was very clear and they give such a great and clear information about road-trips, city-trips, restaurants in the area etcetera. My advice, just trust on this information and try it out.The rooms are very spacious and all very stylish.We had room 3 (suitable for 4 persons) for the two of us. This B&B is located in a quite environment but it is nearby Faro (about 16km) and other nice villages worth visiting. Breakfast here was every day something to look forward to. Finally and something which is very important to mention, is the hospitality of the owners of Farmhouse of the Palms, Veronique and Frank. From the beginning till the end it was really fantastic. They really know which "ingredients" are important to make your holiday complete!We really recommend the awesome Farmhouse of the Palms!!!
This place is just simply an oasis of peace and paradise. A hidden gem in the surrounding hills of Sao Bras de Alportel (Faro area). Owners are the friendliest people ever, best breakfast weve had on our trip. Absolutely fabulous place !
